Bevin Court

United Kingdom / England
Location ID: #999-4375
Architecturally interesting post-war, modernist council estate just off Pentonville Road. Bevin Court was completed in 1954 by Tecton architecture practice, led by  Russian émigré architect Berthold Lubetkin. Some of it's most stunning features are the vibrant mural in the ground hall entranceway, painted by Lubetkin's collaborator Peter Yates, its circular park and spectacular roof top views. There are also a number of winding stairwells and rubbish shoots. Bevin Court occupies the site of the 1902-03 home of Lenin.
