Southwark Cathedral has been a centre of hospitality and welcome since its origins as a priory in 1106. Conveniently located on the South Bank in vibrant London Bridge, the Cathedral is an historical masterpiece boasting the oldest example of Gothic architecture in central London. As well as our public areas, access can be granted behind the scenes, including the Cathedral roof with a rarely seen view across London and the bell tower, complete with historic spiral staircase and stonework.
