This stunning Grade II listed building, packed with original features and updated with cutting-edge design and industrial elements, is the definition of a versatile space. The original features include the beautiful Imperial staircase with metal scrolled handrails and giant fluted concrete columns clad in green marble, plus a stone architrave, period fireplaces and original doors and bathroom features. The wood panelling in the old Courthouse has been preserved, together with three large stained-glass windows in the former old Council Chambers. The basement, which housed the old cells, has been fully converted but with the layout and brickwork kept largely intact and the original cell doors in place. Many of the old council rooms from different eras have been converted into meeting rooms - the impressive ceilings and wood panelling have also been preserved meaning they are perfect for period shoots. Some meeting rooms and offices have been designed with industrial and modern elements, offering a fascinating alternative to the period spaces. The building also houses a cafe space and restaurant. As well as filming, the site can be hired out for production offices at competitive rates. Please see separate listings for full images and details.
