Shepherd's Bush Venue

United Kingdom /
Location ID: #999-27080
This venue is Shepherds Bush is one of the most historic live music and events venues in London. Originally built by a publisher in 1904, as one of a trio of London dance halls that he built for each of his daughters and today the venue is the only surviving of the three. The space has enjoyed past lives as a soup kitchen in WWII, a Bingo Hall, a Rehearsal Space for the likes of; The Who, Adam Faith and Cliff Richard in the late ’50s and 60s, and finally a Snooker & Social Club in the ’80s and 90s. Bush Hall was then restored to its former musical glory in 2001 by present owners Charlie Raworth & Emma Hutchinson. All Edwardian grandeur has been restored, 6 chandeliers replaced and ornate cherubs rediscovered. Today, the space boasts high ceilings, beautiful acoustics, much history and many stories.
